Galapagos has become the ‘Leading Beach Destination in the World’, placing Ecuador as a paradise in the middle of the world, within the 24Th World Travel Awards (WTA) that took place in Vietnam. This recognition was broadcast by the Ministry of Tourism, through a statement.

According to the State portfolio, while Galapagos is positioned with this recognition -for the fifth consecutive year- Ecuador has won again as ‘Green Destination of the World’ (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 2017). On the other hand, the private company also joins the World Travel Awards for the fourth consecutive year through the Finch Bay Hotel, located in Galapagos, which received recognition as ‘Green Hotel Leader in the World’.

Spa Mashpi Lodge, a charming lodge located between nature and species of flora and fauna, was also recognized in the WTA as the best resort / spa in Ecuador. Our country receives once again 4 awards in the WTA. Definitely, the joint work will make Ecuador a true tourism power.
