During the last century and a half, San Cristobal has had an interesting human history because it is the only island of Galapagos that has a constant source of fresh water in the crater of the volcano El Junco. In this amazing place, there are some species of endemic beetles, in other words, these species of beetles don’t exist anywhere else in the world. On the other hand, this
island also has its own species of cucuves, lizards, and giant tortoises.

In the same way, there are also several species of endemic plants, such as the Lecocarpus Danvinii and the Calandrinia galapagosa. In this context, the Calandrinia galapagosa is only found in the south of San Cristobal – Cerro Colorado, as well as the Lecocarpus daT1'Vinii.

There are many interesting places around this island. For example, Leon Dormido is an islet of broken rocks characterized by its shape of lion. On the other hand, Pitt Point is a famous place because of the amazing diversity of seabirds, as well as the Pitt Islet.

You can verify all the above-mentioned factors once you visit the Galapagos Islands. For this reason, Fragata Yacht is a great option when it comes to decide the range of possibilities that Galapagos offers. Without doubt, it will be your best trip ever!
