The best surf season on San Cristobal Island is from December to April, during this period the wind and swell conditions combine to offer world class perfection. The waves reach 2 meters high, but can reach up to 4 meters in spots that take larger size.

The Galapagos Islands are one of the last wildlife sanctuaries in the world. Currently, Galapagos has two protected areas: the Galapagos National Park, the Marine Reserve and the archipelago, the latter was declared a Natural Heritage of Humanity in 1978.
