Many travelers have put their hopes of visiting the Island and seeing its fauna to a pause given the current worldwide pandemic of novel coronavirus, COVID-19. Businesses all around the globe have felt the impact of the illness, as it has produced the installment of quarantines in major cities and travel bans that imply an impossibility for flight. Our company has also chipped in on the quarantine efforts by complying with regulations proposed by the government on March 15th.

We expect to resume normal operations come June and will be attending to customers who wish to reschedule their trips with us. We’ll make sure everything continues to run smoothly for them meanwhile we keep contributing to the well-being of our company’s staff and collaborators. And while you wait, don’t forget to #StayHomeFedererfan1, wash your hands frequently and practice physical distancing!

The Fragata Yacht crew continues to prepare for new expeditions

Our teams have continued to work in preparing new excursions into the Island, to show foreigners the blessings it offers for people to discover. There are still lots of activities and places left to try, so our crew members, which we still support despite the financial turmoil the coronavirus has caused, keep on imagining new ways to entertain those who choose us as their guides through Galapagos.

It becomes a responsibility to ensure the quality of our expeditions isn’t jeopardized by the current problematic, and it’s true that it might be harder to do our jobs during these difficult times, but either way, we’re convinced that we must ensure we bring our A-game to the public once the restrictions are lifted! As a Cruise and Tour enterprise, our product is the experience we are able to offer travelers, no matter where they come from, and it takes guts and mindful visualization to create those experiences for others to enjoy.

What Fragata means to local communities in Galapagos

Not only do we support our staff and crew members, but also take humility in the positive effect tourism has over the island and its inhabitants. Local commerce in Galapagos revels in the exciting boosts it receives every time foreigners come to the island to enjoy their vacations. That’s why it is so important for us to deliver the greatest quality in experience and comfort in our ship. Every time we’re able to satisfy our customers to their fullest, we’re ensuring they book at least one more trip and do a back-to-back visit!

Through these hard times, we are wary of how these extraordinary challenges affect local communities’ livelihood and are making plans to ensure they are well compensated after the travel bans are removed.

We’re grateful for the connections we share with the people of Galapagos and are proud to operate in such an amazing place, which is why we believe no one should have to miss on the wonders the island has on display! We appreciate and cherish our synergy with the island and its people.

Come Summer, you must visit Galapagos

As we’ve already mentioned in the beginning of this article, Ecuador is expected to allow travelers in and out of the country on the month of June. We recommend customers to book their trips for July, as warmer temperatures start to manifest, they beckon the best times under the sun and fun moments with family and friends.

We also have to saywe would appreciate if you didn’t cancel any trips you have already booked with us, and instead reschedule. Contact us if you have any doubts or questions about how to rearrange your vacations; we’ll be happy to help! We are aware of how much past visitors are passionate about our tours and because of that, we want to make sure everyone has the best customer support, so you won’t have to lose the amazing opportunity to visit Galapagos. We look forward to reading your messages and queries. The Galapagos’ wildlife is eager to see you too!
